Rail Vents – New Design

Rail Vents

How the rail reacts to the waterflow around it, influences how the board turns.

Rail Vents are angled in the same direction as the water that shoots off the inside rail, and the vents are the same depth as the main concave of the bottom. The water travels along a path of least resistance through the vents, which makes for quicker response and tighter turns with less force, when needed.

Surfboards built with conventional molded blanks that have the stringer down the center feel stiffer, and will twist as they flex through turns; in this design, stringers are glued in along the rail line to facilitate a true flex and so that the board will flex in a uniform way.
